Found a funny article in one of Russian yellow press newspapers

I found a very funny article where said that Joe Elliott came to Russia in quest of olgarchs to rescue his farorite football club Sheffield United... and more... he desired to have a trip around Siberia in summer of 2005...

Know Russian language? Read the whole article here.

I haven't much time now, but alittle later I will post the whole show in the mp3 section... Check it shortly ;)

Def Leppard in Poland

Photographs for this show you can find here.

A little note about the gig. :) I was played at Spodek in Katowice. There were about 2000 persons who came. It's less that was supposed to be, but guys didn't care and played a really good show. One of the banners which people came with said "Welcome to Poland". Joe said: "This is very nice, thank to all of you
I've been waiting for that day over eleven years... The dreams come true."

Thanks Voytek for the information about the show.

Got Them Coming

Hi everybody. Just yesterday on November 6 all around the city of Moscow appeared posters about the upcoming concert of Def Leppard on the Luzhniky stadium. If you don't know the Luzhniky stadium is the best arena in Moscow to arrange such shows as this one. The concert will start at 4 PM GTM and as said will featured with almost all songs that guys will perfome at the show earlier.

I hope everything will go as I planed so probably I will have an ability to ask Def Leppard several questions. If you have any be free to send these questions to me...

An interesting interview with Viv at the official

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has given a recent interview that is now online at defleppard.com. The interview finds Campbell in a very open frame of mind - he speaks candidly about life in Leppard, his days in Dio and Whitesnake. Very interesting stuff indeed!

http://www.retroradionetwork.com/retro/

It started out as a Def Leppard only radio station, but was shut down because that violates the DMCA. So I restarted it, basing it on the 80's, which is my favorite decade of music, but adding in every Def Leppard song I could find. They are by far the most heavily played artists on the station, including a double shot every hour. The station runs 24/7, and is capable of handling real-time requests, whether a live person is at the controls or not.

Only restriction is no blocks of a single artists are permitted between 8:00AM EST and 9:00PM EST.

RockFest in Moscow

Hi you all! Another weekend's over, but it wasn't another usual weekend. We welcomed Paradise Lost, Masterplan and Halloween at the RockFest in Moscow. Started the show Zodiac Mindwarp, a British band which plays music like AC/DC. They were completely drunk and their guitarist always fell down. I didn't hear them ever before and I gotta say that they can play good rock. Next band was Masterplan, they perfomed all-day hits and of course include Enlighten Me. I've made records of Masterplan and Paradise Lost. If you need them you I can post songs anywhere you want just e-mail me a little message.

Hysteria is the best rock album ever

Def Leppard's Hysteria is the best rock album, this is the opinion of Andrew McNiece of MelodicRock.com. He posted Top 50 albums where figured such rock legends as Van Halen and Whitesnake and only one album had to be first of this list - Def Leppard "Hysteria". I absolutely agreed with his decision to place an awesome album of so great band to the top. You think he's wrong? You gotta go to this link => http://www.melodicrock.com/vote-bestever.html and vote for your favorite.

Check out a live version of You're So Beautiful at http://www.savageattitude.com/LeppNews.html which was recorded in Cleveland this year. The webmaster of SAVAGEATTITUDE.COM says: "The reason I chose this particular song is because you can hear Sav singing so very clearly. He is the one singing "You're So Beautiful" through the song. His voice is also louder than Joe's". For those people who doesn't hear about the site gotta say that the web-site tributized to Rick "Sav" Savage and the track in the real gift for all Sav fans.

Def Leppard Hubs List

There are two Def Leppard hubs are working almost all the time everyday. Yesterday (26.08.03) there were about 30 Gigabytes of Def Leppard rare tracks and all that you must do to get access to this archive is:
1) download the last version of DC++ application at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net
2) and place the latest DL Hub List file (which you can get here) into your DC++ folder.
If you think it's hard for you do the first step and download an utility which will automatically set up you DC++ for work. You just will need to restart DC++ to apply changes.

It's so easy! Why don't you join us?

New Site Maintainer..

Well, Max has let me help assist with this website. Anyhow the hub is kinda a success, most of u dont know how yet or what its about, but i should have some more info and pics and stuff up at my homepage at http://www.delaxiom.org/~junky/. There are over 50 bootlegs in mp3 format in the direct connect hub, the software is free, and at the least i'm givin it out free :) So what is your excuse?

For those who don't know

People, it's about two weeks passed since the Def Leppard Hub was started and only 6 users connect with it. If you just don't know what it is I'll try to make it clear. It's a host with which you connect by a P2P (peer to peer program just like Napster or WinMX) software and get unlimited access to the most vast archive of Def Leppard rare songs and even interviews. Where can you get this program? Download it from the official DC++ site at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/, install it, switch to the Favourite Hubs page (Ctrl+F) and create a new hub with one of these addresses: drappelfed.no-ip.com or defleppard.no-ip.com. They're public and you don't have to fill the password field, just Name of the Hub and Hub's address, that's all.

DEF LEPPARD FANS RIPPED OFF

American Def Leppard fans have every reason to be pissed off today, with the band's label Universal deciding not to release any further singles from the band's recent album X. That's after the first single Now was only released to radio, not commercially.
What kind of crappy promotion is that? This is a band that holds the record for one of the biggest selling hard rock records in history! It's a band that has also made countless millions for this label over several years! Where is the loyalty?
I am aware that it is 2003. I am also aware, as are the band's die hard fans, that the musical climate has changed.
But seriously, did 13 million fans just disappear since the release of Hysteria in 1987?
No, they are out there - many of them wondering what happened to all their favourite bands! Now I could spin this tale regarding any number of bands that have been robbed of any real chance to sell their albums due to crappy support. It's time to make a stand.
Here's what was posted on Def Leppard's web site earlier:
02.06.2003 : "LONG LONG WAY TO GO" PUSHED BACK..... AGAIN
Unfortunately, the single release of Long Long Way To Go has been pushed back... once again. This time, the main reason for the delay is the (absence of a) promo video. According to the original schedule, the band was supposed to shoot the video this week in London (Joe) and Spain (rest of the band). However, the shoot has been moved to London for the entire band and is now scheduled to take place on February 18. A new date for the single release has not been determined yet, although the US division of the record label has finally decided not to release the single in North America at all -- neither for radio, nor commercially.

The band have tour dates in the US coming up. What harm would it have done, to press or release one lone single to allow the band a chance? The choice of song - Long Long Way To Go is perfect. It's a smash hit waiting to happen.
Bon Jovi is not the only stadium band left in existence, capa

Leppard's X is only third

www.MelodicRock.com have posted their final vote results of main events of the past year. Def Leppard's X was only ranked on the third place after Harem Scarem's Weight Of The World and self-titled album of Mecca. I don't agree with people who voted for Mecca, I think that album sounds droningly, but anyway it's second.
About other nominations:
Song Of The Year:
14. Def Leppard - Long Long Way To Go
24. Def Leppard - Now
The Best Ballads:
02. Def Leppard - Long Long Way To Go
10. Def Leppard - Unbelievable

· LONG LONG WAY TO GO (live in Japan)
· NOW (live in Japan)
· 10 X BIGGER THAN LOVE (previously unreleased)

Release date for the record is sheduled on Feb 24.
About the video for the track:
"The video will be partly shot in Spain in the first week of February and most likely to be directed by an as-yet-to-be-confirmed Brit who has worked with the band before, contains a storyline by Phil Collen."
